The HIIT Interval Workout Game

While getting in shape and staying healthy isn’t a game, using a tool that turns a workout into a game makes it far more effective. Studies have shown that when something is fun and people enjoy it, they’re more likely to stick with it – and that includes exercise.

Taking that concept, the HIIT Interval Workout Game is useful to help motivate an individual of any fitness level into improving their body and their long term health.

The game was designed by an Army fitness expert and is designed to help you achieve top fitness standards. It can be played anywhere and will vary in the duration of game play.

It can be used for single or group play. Some of the game workouts are quick and as short as four minutes in length, while others will last longer. As the game play continues, you’ll find it tougher to level up.

The game is designed to be played by those who are new to HIIT as well as those who’ve been doing it for awhile and are familiar with it. You’ll build muscle, shed fat and speed up your metabolism by playing the game.

Going through the rounds of the game is pretty easy. You get different decks of cards called Draw, Exercise and Interval. The exercise cards point out the exercise that you’ll be doing.

The interval points out the intervals. You’ll use dice to show you how many rounds you’ll play. Each of the exercise cards are color coded and line up with the area of your body that you’ll be working on.

The orange cards are for exercises that work out the arm muscles. The blue ones are cardio cards, the green ones work out the chest, the red ones are for working out the core muscles and the yellow ones are for leg exercises.

There are 52 varying exercises and the way the game is played, you won’t ever end up doing the same exercise routine over and over again. Each of the cards has a code that you can look up using your smart phone – which leads you to a video showing how the exercise is performed.

If you don’t have a smart phone, then you can look it up using the web link that’s shown on the card. You will need an interval timer to play the game or you can download the suggested app.

When you get ready to play, you roll the dice, then draw an interval card based on the number that you roll on the dice. The cards are based on different interval lengths and the rests are included. You earn points based on the different exercise point value you gain after performing what’s on that particular card.

During game play, you can make your competitors take on extra exercises, gain more points for yourself or strategize to prevent your competitor from moving ahead in the game.
