Sweet Paleo Desserts For Spring Holidays

Just because you are on the Paleo diet, doesn’t mean you can’t truly enjoy your dessert! There are lots of delicious recipes that are sweet enough to enjoy on spring holidays like Mother’s Day and Easter, but still follow the Paleo lifestyle. Here are a few fun ideas to try out.

Chocolate Avocado Mousse

This chocolate mousse is going to use avocado as the main creamy component. It lets you have a creamy and chocolatey dessert that is also healthy and Paleo-approved. But it also uses spices that turn it into a Mexican chocolate dessert, perfect for Cinco de Mayo! What you want to use are ripe avocadoes, coconut milk, raw cacao powder, vanilla extract, raw honey, cinnamon, and some ground chilies. They are baked just like regular blondies or sugar cookies. You can also use cookie cutters if you want to make these almond butter blondies to put into your kids’ Easter baskets.

Many natural ingredients are allowed on the Paleo diet that will sweeten up desserts, so don’t feel like you have to do without your favorite treats just because you are following this lifestyle. There is always room for interpretation in most popular recipes, from these blondies, to making cookies that taste just like Girl Scouts’ Thin Mints.
